Fall 2016 Newsletter

We at CCA praise the Lord, SCHOOL HAS STARTED! Our three teachers and twenty-seven children all arrived the first day very excited. We are praying for a very successful year. Please pray alongside us.

Open House & Ribbon Cutting Ceremony:

On October 9th, Calvary Baptist Church will be having a 2nd Sunday Fellowship after the evening service. During this special time of fellowship, you are invited to observe our ribbon cutting ceremony and to then take a walk through our school. The deaconesses will be providing cake & refreshments on our behalf.

Fundraiser Update:

The “Wall of Envelopes” collected roughly $4,000 dollars and our school supply drive brought in two large totes full of necessary supplies. In addition, the school collected a great donation from one of our church families and also received an entire computer lab, free of cost, from a local school District. We have been truly blessed! So far, the dollars raised have been used towards the first payment on the second school building, purchasing school furniture (i.e., desks, chairs, cabinets, etc.) and towards our beautiful new Academy signs. Have you seen them yet?

For those still wishing to donate towards the “Wall of Envelopes”, you can find the board in the Fellowship Hall. If you missed out on the supply drive, supplies can still be dropped off at the Church office or given to any of our teachers or board members.

Pastor’s Vision (Excerpts from Pastor Tom):

  • Envision Calvary Baptist Church as a “Higher Teaching Tower”, a tower than can be “seen” from a great distance.
  • Envision Calvary Christian Academy as a K-12 Christian School, if no other is available
  • Calvary Christian Academy is a “Work in Progress”
