CCA Temporary Closure

March 13, 2020

Dear Calvary Christian Academy Parents,

Due to the mandated closure of all schools our staff has developed a plan for continued education during these next three weeks. Here is an outline of the plan.

  • On Monday, March16th the classrooms will be opened at 2:45pm for parents and students to retrieve their textbooks and assignments for the week.
  • Video instruction will be provided online through a Facebook classroom page. Please check your Facebook account for an invitation to your child’s classroom page. Four days of instruction will be posted by Monday evening for your child to view and then complete assignments by Monday, March 30th.
  • On Monday, March 30th the classroom will be opened again at 2:45pm for students to turn in their work, and if the staff deems necessary, receive the next week’s assignments.

We understand this online instruction may be difficult for some families with limited internet access, but this is our best solution presently. Please seek help from friends or family to access the online instruction or contact your child’s teacher if you are having difficulty in this area.

With the multiple unknowns of this situation, we are relying on your flexibility and patience. Our top priority is our students and their continued growth. The work assigned is mandatory. By maintaining learning during the closure, our goal is to reduce the possibility of having to extend the school year. We will keep you updated.

Additionally, we have decided not to attend the Bridgeport Fine Arts Festival and have devised an alternative that will still showcase the students’ talents and hard work. More information will be provided at a later date.

Please keep our country, state, and school in your prayers. We are praying for you. Wash your hands 

With Warm Regards,

Calvary Christian Academy Staff
