Dan Beckwith (989) 709-1921

Dan is a member at Calvary Baptist. He also serves on Calvary Baptist’s security committee.

Retired from Michigan Dept. of State Police, Dan loves spending his free time with family, hunting and fishing.

Mary Beth Tate

Mary Beth and her husband moved back from OH and settled in northern Michigan in 2004. They became members at CBC in 2004. Mary Beth serves in different capacities including teaching 5th/6th grade Sunday school, missionary committee, music program, and counseling.

Education is very important to Mary Beth. One of her children went through public school, two children went through Christian schools and one child was home-schooled through the 10 grade and then finished out in a Christian school. Two of her children graduated from Cedarville University, one from Miami University of OH and one from Indiana University. Three of the four children married graduates from Cedarville. Three of the children have master’s degrees in various subjects. This shows her support of education in general and Christian education in particular.

Mary Beth loves motorcycling with her husband, spending time with their 4 children and 14 grandchildren even though they are in other states. One of their sons has been a missionary in Kenya, East Africa since 2008. She also enjoys quilting, boating and playing the piano.

Glenn Addis

Glenn Addis has been a member of Calvary Baptist Church since 2011 and has served in various ministries including being a member of the deacon board, the music committee, and the choir.

Glenn is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Bachelor of Social Work degree from Saginaw Valley State University and a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Eastern Michigan University.

He retired from the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services in 2018 after 23 years working in Children’s Services with a primary focus in foster care.  Glenn also retired from the U.S. Navy in 1990 after 20 years of service in the Submarine Force.

Glenn is currently employed by Saginaw Valley State University as Clinical Faculty in the School of Social Work.  He has also been an adjunct faculty member for the past 18 years.

Glenn enjoys spending time with his wife on landscaping projects and woodworking.  He is actively involved with mentoring new social workers.
